Pregnancy is such an exciting time! I believe every woman deserves to have her pregnancy documented in a way that is artistic and supportive—a way for you to look back on this stage of your life with tenderness and love. Here’s how to prepare for your maternity session so you can have the best experience possible.
Choose Your Package
First, choose your package. If you just want maternity photos, then a portrait package will be perfect. If you are also interested in newborn photos or other milestone pictures further down the line, a luxe membership includes 3 sessions, allowing you to capture all of those special moments.
Schedule Your Session
Once you have an idea which type of package you’re interested in, please get in touch to schedule your session! The best time to document your pregnancy is during the third trimester, between 27 and 34 weeks.
Let’s Start Planning!
Before your session, we’ll meet virtually so we can go over all the details, from location to what to wear. We can hold your session at my Ithaca studio, or I am happy to travel to homes throughout the Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca areas. I also have a gorgeous wardrobe selection of maternity dresses, so there’s no need to bring anything from home unless you want to. I even take care of hair and makeup, so that’s it’s a truly pampering experience for you!
Take Care of Your Skin
I really do try to take care of everything so that you don’t have to worry too much about how to prepare for your maternity session. However, one of the most important things you can do is to take care of your skin! There is no substitute for that natural glow! So check out my prenatal skincare tips, shop for the best natural and organic beauty products, or come into my Ithaca spa for a pre-session facial and pampering. You deserve it!
I hope these quick tips on how to prepare for your maternity session have been helpful. I am so very excited for you during this magical time as you carry a new life inside your beautiful body! If you’d like to learn more then let’s meet for tea, take a stroll, or hop on a call as we plan your next Norabloom experience.
